The New Neighbors Interfaith Alliance (NNIA) works to join the efforts and resources of Montgomery County and Prince George’s County faith communities to support the local immigrant community in all areas necessary for them to have a healthy and productive life in Maryland.
NNIA provides support to local, newly resettled immigrants in need including refugees, asylum seekers, and others we refer to as new neighbors. We receive new neighbor needs from the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Catholic Charities. NNIA consists of faith communities of all denominations and individuals within Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties. Both emergency support and long – term “journey” support are provided.

We are an informal network of individual volunteers working in alliance under the umbrella of various faith communities. We solicit money and the donation of goods on behalf of our faith organizations. All donations we receive (money and goods) are the property of our faith communities until the time they are utilized to help our refugee and asylee families.
